Schedule of Events 2009

Friday Evening, October 16 – Meet the Artists Gala Reception 7-10 pm

Enjoy the elegant reception while taking the opportunity to meet and talk with the artists. This year promises to be especially festive as the church celebrates the 30th  year of the art festival featuring over sixty artists including an entire room devoted to the festival’s featured artist, Sheila Hansberger. Enjoy browsing through the exhibits while listening to lively entertainment provided by Eight Hole Punch an acappella men’s group and Felonius Plunk, a band featuring music that ranges from jazz to bluegrass and beyond.

Saturday and Sunday, October 17 and 18

The festival takes on a more casual mood on Saturday and Sunday. Guests attending the Friday night reception often return over the weekend for a second look at artworks and to purchase their favorite art pieces. Take a break from leisurely browsing to enjoy lunch provided by caterer Lucy Wicker. Lucy will be selling her popular tamales and other Mexican food made from her favorite authentic recipes. Listen to the live music that continues throughout the weekend including musicians playing harp, guitar, banjo, violin, piano and vocal groups such as Ensemble 21 directed by Jeffrey Rickard.
