July Scripture Readings
File Cabinet – We need a 2-drawer metal locking file cabinet in good condition. Please contact Carla at the church office at (909) 793-3520.
BARN RAISERS! – We need weed-whacking, hoe-bearing, rake-wielding friends to help in a one day project clearing brush from the Hawley-Zechlin property. We will meet on Saturday, July 11, time to be announced. Please RSVP Janet Wilson at 909 883 5877 (aikijlw@aol.com).
Summer Series – Come and participate in the Sacred Conversations on Inclusivity and Equality. This is a good way to get to know more about yourself and others. Sundays, 5:00-8:00 pm. July 19, 26 and August 2, 9, 16, 23. ~ Swim ~ Eat ~ Visit ~ Listen and be listened to with delight! Meet in homes TBA. ALL are welcome!
Save The Date! – The all-church retreat has been postponed to allow more of YOU to attend! Registration is currently underway for the NEW dates of September 26th and 27th.

Alpha Bible Study – The Alpha Bible Study group will be taking the summer off. They will resume after Labor Day.
Birthday Celebration – Fellowship time – Celebration of Margi Benz’s 90th birthday on Sunday, July 19th. Join us for this special milestone. Bring a card and/or personal greeting to Margi on this special occasion.
Strengthen the Church Offering – Strengthen the Church, one of four special mission offerings within the United Church of Christ, grows the UCC's future by: Funding new church starts and invigorating existing congregations, nurturing lay and pastoral leadership, building youth and young adult ministries, supporting the God is Stillspeaking Ministry and its extravagant welcome for all within the United Church of Christ. All gifts are directed to activities and programs of our church's local conference as well as the UCC's national ministries. We will receive this offering on Sunday, July 12.
Stewards' Reminder...Lock up!! – We are having issues with doors being left unlocked after everyone leaves. If you unlock a door, you are responsible for making sure that door is locked when you leave. If you will not be there when everyone leaves, you need to find someone to take over that responsibility for you. The last person leaving should make sure that all doors are completely closed and locked. Thank you!
Sunday School Teachers Needed! – The Christian Education Department is looking for Sunday School teachers for the upcoming year. Times are 9:30 to 10:15am and the school year runs the end of August through late May or early June. The following teachers are needed:
Middlers Class (approximate ages 3rd through 5th grade)
Jr. High Class (approximate ages 6th through 8th grade)
Substitute Teachers for both planned and unplanned (on-call) absences
You will be provided with complete training, on-going support, and an easy to follow curriculum. This is a great way to form bonds with the future of our church! We do ask that you commit to the full school year. Time off for vacations and other needs can be arranged.
We would also like to expand the offerings for adult classes so if you would like to teach a year long class (I can help with curriculum selection) OR if you have an area of expertise or a topic you would like to present for a shorter duration (4 to 6 weeks) please let me know!

Church Talent Show – I have volunteered to coordinate the talent show, and have chosen 'Saturday Night Live' as the theme. I have scheduled it for Friday, August 21 at 7:00 p.m. If you would like to be in it, please let me know by e-mail or phone.

- come up with your own thing
- or say 'I don't know what to do; I just want to be in it,' and I'll put you in one of the acts so you can join in the fun.
